Derek and Jayleen Solt, both lifelong residents of Carbon County, share a deep connection to the community that inspires their work at 4 U Custom Homes. Derek studied at Penn State University and brings over 20 years of experience in homebuilding, combining local knowledge with a passion for quality craftsmanship. Jayleen’s diverse background spans healthcare, corporate leadership, and real estate, where her empathy and attention to detail enrich every homeowner’s experience.
Married in 2015, Derek and Jayleen have built their lives—and their business—on a foundation of shared values and complementary strengths. Together, they have successfully raised five children, an experience that has deepened their understanding of what makes a house truly feel like home. As a team, they guide clients through every step of the homebuilding process, ensuring each project reflects not only superior construction but also genuine care for the families who will live there.

Where It All Started
Derek’s career began at Orleans Homebuilders, where he spent nearly ten years in various roles including purchasing manager. He then advanced to Bracy Contracting as a project manager, earning a reputation for meticulous execution and flawless construction. His leadership skills grew further through positions at Toll Brothers and Lennar, where he served as an area construction manager overseeing larger projects.
Despite his professional success, Derek realized that the increasing focus on numbers left less room for personal connection with homeowners. In 2022, he founded 4 U Homes to return to what truly motivates him: putting smiles on homeowners’ faces when they walk through their new doors.
By 2025, the company evolved into 4 U Custom Homes, reflecting a renewed commitment to innovation, quality, and client-centered service. With Jayleen’s healthcare, corporate, and real estate expertise, the company now offers a uniquely compassionate and personalized approach. Her ability to understand and connect with clients ensures a supportive, rewarding building journey from start to finish.
